The Khaos group of the University of Malaga has received the Mediterranean Digital 2024 Award for its participation in the EnBiC2-Lab project, in recognition of its innovative nature and its impact on the conservation of Mediterranean ecosystems.
Among the outstanding achievements of the project is the creation of the first map of Mediterranean forest species generated by Artificial Intelligence, with a reliability close to 80%, where more than 90 forest species are identified. In addition, the project has involved 23 researchers from 11 countries and has promoted scientific and training activities at international level.
