The University of Málaga (UMA) and the INNOVA IRV Innovation Institute have taken an important step towards the creation of a Co-Innovation Laboratory in Artificial Intelligence, following a strategic meeting held at the Accenture facilities in Málaga TechPark.
The aim is to establish a collaborative space between science, technology and business to address, from an interdisciplinary perspective, the current challenges of artificial intelligence. During the conference, possible lines of collaboration between UMA research groups and the business sector were explored, as well as opportunities for participation in projects with industrial impact.
José F. Aldana, deputy director of ITIS UMA and director of ÁGORA Datalab (https://agora-datalab.eu/), participated on behalf of both entities, highlighting the value of knowledge transfer and open innovation.
This laboratory aspires to become a benchmark in the responsible development of emerging technologies through active collaboration between the university and the productive environment.
