The Khaos group at the University of Malaga has developed a tool based on artificial intelligence and automatic image classification to improve the detection accuracy of melanoma, a type of skin cancer. The aim of the scientists is to understand how automation systems ‘think’ in order to increase their efficiency and apply them in different fields of medicine.
