The Khaos research group of the University of Málaga focuses its activity on the management, integration, and analysis of data and Big Data. It works at the intersection of technologies related to large-scale data management and integration, W3C standards, data analytics, metaheuristic optimization, and Big Data analysis.

The group has extensive experience in European, national, and regional research projects, and has produced open-source software for both the research community and industry. In addition, Khaos is responsible for delivering the University’s postgraduate Master’s program in Big Data.
